Riot Games has finally unveiled details of VALORANT Mobile including its trailer, gameplay, Agents, and Maps on release.
Riot Games has finally unveiled the official trailer for VALORANT Mobile and announced a bunch of details alongside it. See the VALORANT Mobile trailer, Agents and Maps available on release, and more.
VALORANT Mobile is region-locked for now
The first important thing to note is that VALORANT Mobile will initially be released in China. LIGHTSPEED STUDIOS, a company under Tencent Games and headquartered in Shenzhen, China, is bringing the popular shooter to mobile devices. The development studio also brought us titles like PUBG Mobile, the Chinese version of League of Legends: Wild Rift, Apex Legends Mobile, and Undawn.
VALORANT Studio Head Anna Donlon and Executive Producer Andy Ho also talked about the upcoming release in a separate video.
They talked about working with LIGHTSPEED STUDIOS and how they cooperated to "deliver the core experience that make VALORANT special."
"We've been hard at work with LIGHTSPEED to get the most important parts of VALORANT right. Things like smooth ability controls, masterful gunplay and movement, and great performance on a wide range of devices," says Ho.
"China has one of the largest and most competitive mobile FPS communities in the world. Since LIGHTSPEED is already a trusted developer in the region, we think it makes sense to start more locally," says Donlon. As for expanding to other regions, plans are being finalized.
VALORANT Mobile gameplay
A short gameplay trailer for VALORANT Mobile was also made public, giving us a glimpse at the game's UI.
The controls seem similar to those of other mobile FPS titles. This should make transferring your aiming skills from one mobile title to VALORANT.

However, it would be good to notice that the game seems to have differing assets. For example, this scene with Phoenix's Blaze looks visually different than the PC version.
The trailer also shows us that the UI will be customizable, a common feature in mobile FPS titles.
