Twitch Rivals Valorant Series 1 completed the group stage and set their semifinals Wednesday evening.

Team Ploo lost to Team Sonii for the top spot in Group A. They then took on Team Aceu in a best of three to determine who would be the last team to qualify for the semis.

With the win over Team Ploo, Sonii’s team earned a first-round bye and a week off. Team Ploo had to face Team Aceu and, after dropping the first map, it looked like Aceu’s squad might be too strong. Ploo’s squad evened things up and the match would be decided on the final map.

Tenz Leads Team Aceu

Team Aceu took Ascent rather easily 13-6 and it seemed Team Ploo might be outmatched. Tenz finished off the map with an ace.

Team Ploo won the second map and the two teams moved to Split. Tenz seemed to be ready to take over once again, putting his team up 8-6 with a four-kill round.

Jake’N’Bake Gets Revenge

In the very next round, Jake’N’Bake killed Tenz 1v1 to make it 8-7. Jake managed to get some revenge after Tenz killed him 1v1 to secure an ace and the 1-0 map lead on Ascent.

Following up on Jake’s 1v1, Team Ploo made it 9-8 with a big rotation. They also managed to take down Tenz. Tenz got a kill with the operator and just missed a second before falling.

Ploo’s squad rode that momentum to a 12-8 lead. Team Aceu took the next round with Aceu and Tenz showing how dangerous they could be on a B-site retake.

Team Ploo finally won the map 13-10. Ploo finished a three-kill round her team and took the series 2-1.

Team Ploo will face Team Sonii again in the Twitch Rivals Valorant Series 1 semifinals. Sonii’s team is the only team to beat Ploo’s so far.

The other semifinal will be Team QuarterJade versus Team RayC, the two teams who advanced from Group B.

The final day of Twitch Rivals Valorant Series 1 is March 10 and one of the remaining four teams will take home the $10,000 first prize.

Twitch Rivals isn’t stopping with just the Valorant tournament, they will also be hosting a Rocket League Showdown and an Apex Legends showdown in March. You can follow all the Twitch Rivals Valorant Series 1 action, and any other events you might be interested in at Twitch.tv/twitchrivals.
