Internet personalities and VALORANT content creators TenZ and Kyedae publicly announced their breakup, then poked humor at the situation.

Internet personalities Kyedae Shymko and Tyson "TenZ" Ngo announced their breakup publicly. The engaged pair revealed that they have parted ways for some time now, but reassured their respective fans about the two's connection post-breakup.

Kyedae and TenZ break up: "We grew apart."

Kyedae posted the heartbreaking announcement on her official social media accounts.

Hey everybody,

Tyson and I feel ready to share some personal news.

We've actually been broken up for quite some time now. Toward the end of our relationship, we came to a realization that wasn't easy to accept: we had stopped growing as individuals.

For most of our relationship, we did everything together.
Work — together.
Hobbies and interests — together.
Pretty much everything — together.

We've even joked in the past that although we were together for six years, it felt like at least thirty.

We moved in together just weeks after meeting, and from ages 17 to 24, that was all we knew. Over time, it became clear that we needed space to grow into our own people.

We know the internet often looks for "the tea" but the truth is sirnple — we grew apart.
There was no wrongdoing, no resentment, and no single event that caused this.

We still care deeply about each other and genuinely want the best for one another,
We're also incredibly grateful for the time and life we shared together!

Thank you for respecting our privacy.

This confirms the circulating theories around their fanbases that the two have parted ways. The post was made with TenZ tagged, and the ex-pro player also reposted it on his official account.

To put the timeline into perspective TenZ was a professional Counter-Strike: Global Offensive from 2017 to 2020, then VALORANT from 2020 to 2024. The two have been together for most of his professional career. They got engaged in late 2021 / early 2022.

Kyedae followed up with a photo of TenZ to further reassure their fans, implying that they worked on the announcement together.

"Did not age well"

Despite the heavy air of their breakup post, TenZ and Kyedae did not miss the opportunity to poke fun at the situation. Both of them replied to their engagement post, with TenZ saying "Literally did not age well" followed by skull emojis.

The two have not discussed their plans with their careers. Kyedae quit streaming indefinitely in early 2025, while TenZ streams regularly after his departure from Sentinels and eventual retirement.
