Sin Prisa Gaming stormed through VCT Ascension Pacific and held on in a scrappy Grand Final to earn their promotion.

The last of the Ascension tournaments is over. We've seen the rise of new teams to EMEA, Americas, and China. Now, Sin Prisa Gaming joins the field in VCT Pacific, after taking down BOOM Esports in an Ascension Grand Final for the ages.

BOOM looked poised to get revenge from earlier in the tournament, but a solid overtime stand by Sin Prisa Gaming shut the door on their promotion hopes. Congrats to Sin Prisa, and let's take a look at their journey to the VALORANT Champions Tour.

This is a team that hasn't even been in VALORANT for a year. They signed their first set of players in the middle of December 2023. The core of that team remains, as a handful of additions came in throughout the start of 2024.

The organization clearly saw something in these players and in the Pacific ecosystem of VALORANT. As they immediately jumped in to VCL Korea 24 and began to dominate. The only losses came at the hands of LFG Portal, but they easily shook those off.

After the second one, Sin Prisa Gaming went on an unstoppable streak. Including the VCT Ascension Pacific Grand Final, they've won 16 series in a row, dating all the way back to May. And if a couple rounds went the other way, BOOM would be in their position.

The Grand Final match went all five maps. It ended with a score of 17:15 in favor of Sin Prisa. The final map of Bind would be the second overtime map of the series. BOOM was ready to win it, but three OT wins in a row took it back for SPG, and all players on the team but one ended the series with over 90 kills.
