The Reaver skin collection returns to VALORANT with a 3.0 update, introducing a butterfly melee and a brand-new Bandit skin.
The trend of reviving old VALORANT bundles didn’t carry into 2025, and now Riot Games is introducing fresh skins for the Reaver with the 3.0 collection. The bundle will include the first skin for Bandit, a recently introduced weapon in the game.
Reaver 3.0 is coming to VALORANT
As VALORANT announced, Reaver is coming back to the game with the 3.0 bundle. After two bundle releases, the collection will now feature a new butterfly melee and a brand-new skin for the Bandit, which was released at the beginning of 2026.
The bundle is coming soon to the shop. There is still no information on the exact date and price of the bundle. Since no more weapons were shown in the trailer, we can assume the bundle will only contain the two skins shown. However, it will most likely include accessories such as the player card and the gun buddies.
Previous bundles
As a very popular skin collection within the community, many Reaver skins have been released over the years. Both bundles cost 7,100 VALORANT Points. They included:
- Reaver (EP 1, 2020)
- Sheriff
- Guardian
- Vandal
- Operator
- Melee
- Reaver (EP 5, 2022)
- Ghost
- Spectre
- Phantom
- Odin
- Melee (Karambit)
There are still some weapons that haven't received a Reaver skin, such as the Outlaw, Classic, Shorty, Frenzy, Stinger, Bucky, Judge, Bulldog, Marshal, and Ares. However, it does not seem that the Reaver 3.0 will bring more skins to VALORANT in 2026 aside from the butterfly and the bandit skins.
Community reaction to the new Reaver 3.0 bundle
One of the biggest questions surrounding the Reaver 3.0 bundle is that the collection only includes two skins, which is unusual for a VALORANT release. Aside from Run it Back bundles that often contain a few popular skins, the usual bundles normally have four or five skins.
Others have questioned why VALORANT is releasing another Reaver bundle, since the game already has two versions. The butterfly style has always been popular in FPS, and VALORANT is no different, but for some, the quality of the skins and animations has been declining over the years. "Where are the classic butterfly animations like in RGX and Champions 2022?" a user commented.
While some players have praised the skin in-game, the teaser’s commentary section has been dominated by less positive opinions.
