The Russian player has finally secured his visa and will fly to Los Angeles soon.

Pacific VALORANT powerhouse, Paper Rex will attend VCT Champs in Los Angeles with its complete roster. After securing third place at VCT Masters Tokyo, there were doubts over some of the player’s attendance in the United States of America. Specifically, Russian-origin Ilya "something" Petrov faced difficulties in trying to obtain a visa to attend Champs. But it seems the player has finally obtained his visa and will be attending the event in August this year.

Ilya "something" Petrov joined Paper Rex in March as part of the team’s efforts to spruce up its roster. However, the player could not secure his Japanese visa in time and PRX went ahead with Patiphan "CigaretteS" Posri. The Thai player was extremely successful for Paper Rex, propelling them to a top-three finish at Masters Tokyo.

However, in several interviews, Paper Rex players alluded to the fact that they had to change their entire game plan to accommodate the sudden change in their roster. Having practiced for months with something, they had to change roles and pivot their gameplay to put up a competitive roster.

Will something play for Paper Rex at VCT Champs?

On July 17, 2023, Something mentioned on Twitter he will compete at Champs. This comes as welcome news to Paper Rex fans who will finally get to see their complete roster in action.
