LOUD vs Sentinels - Write the same story or rewrite it?

The duel between LOUD and Sentinels already took place in the VCT Americas Kickoff final. On March 3, Sentinels were better against the Brazilians in a frenetic game. The match was decided on the fifth and final map of the series with Sentinels winning Lotus 13-4.

It's a game in which both teams know each other very well and in the 2024 record, Sentinels have the advantage. Nonetheless, in addition to competing in the same region, Sentinels' Gustavo "Sacy" Rossi is a former LOUD player and won Champions with the team in 2022.

Although, with Mohamed "johnqt" Ouarid and Jordan "Zellsis" Montemurro on board, the evolution of Sentinels is clear. On the other hand, LOUD is still looking for the best form with Gabriel "qck" Lima, not affecting the consistency at the top of the Brazilian team.

Map 1: Split

A full-throttle start with Sentinels opening up a 4-0 lead, a LOUD retake secured the first point for the Brazilians. LOUD points in the first half, two of them were from retakes and the other from a dominance in the middle.

Sentinels gave LOUD little chance in its spike site entries with great post-plant efficiencies. Closing the first half that ended 9-3, clutch from Sentinels captain johnqt.

LOUD only managed to score once in the second half, but Sentinels closed out Split, their map of choice, with ease. First domain map for Sentinels with LOUD to fail to compete for the result.

Map 2: Icebox

On their map of choice, LOUD, despite a more balanced start, managed to come out on top with a 7-5. A first very characteristic of what Icebox summarizes as retakes and post-plants. The Brazilians managed to be successful in several and the Sentinels in others, but LOUD better on the defensive side.

The second half starts with two clutches from Sentinels. First by johnqt in the pistol and then by TenZ in the second round.

After these rounds were decided in detail, LOUD found themselves in the game and placed several rounds in sequence. However, Sentinels did not let itself go down. Zekken at Sentinels was very involved, achieving several impact kills with the Jett and Operator combo.

After being down 11-7, Sentinels recovered and turned the score around to 12-11 in their favour. An almost perfect entry at spike site A sent the decision to overtime, all tied 12-12.

In overtime, qck with a lot of impact on the first kills led his team to a 14-12 victory.

Map 3: Sunset

The third and final map was marked by a balance between both teams. Several clutches decided the rounds, first Saadhak by LOUD and then Sacy by Sentinels.

The first half was 7-5 in favor of Sentinels. Despite LOUD's better start with the pistol and the following round, Sentinels adapted to the pace of the game and won several rounds in a row.

The game was approaching its end and several rounds were decided in detail. For LOUD, qck was a key player with 27 kills, the best player on the third Sunset map.

LOUD showed that it was still alive on the map and pulled the map decision once again for overtime. In overtime, Sentinels was better, the first round decided in a clutch and the second round decided quickly with the team quickly gaining the advantage.

With this victory, Sentinels will meet Gen.G in the Upper Bracket final tomorrow. On the other hand, LOUD and Paper Rex face each other for survival in the championship.
