Global girl group KATSEYE will be performing the VALORANT 2025 Game Changers Championship anthem, dropping soon.

Global girl group KATSEYE was revealed as the artists for this year's VALORANT 2025 Game Changers Championship anthem. The cinematic, accompanied by the anthem, drops soon. Here's everything we know about KATSEYE in VALORANT GCC 2025.

KATSEYE's M.I.A. for VALORANT 2025 Game Changers Championship

The group's track "M.I.A." is getting a "VALORANT Game Changers Version" for the event. The full VALORANT 2025 Game Changers Championship cinematic and anthem will release on November 11 at 6 AM Pacific Time, but you can pre-save now.

While we have to wait for the full release, we can hear a snippet posted on KATSEYE's official social media accounts. A one-minute preview was also uploaded to their official YouTube channel.

The group was formed in 2023 through Dream Academy, a competition that put contestants through South Korean-style training. The resulting members, Sophia Laforteza, Lara Rajagopalan, Yoonchae Jeung, Megan Skiendiel, Manon Bannerman, and Daniela Avanzini, all have different nationalities and ethnicities, which cemented KATSEYE's identity as a global girl group, despite heavy K-pop influences.

This is the first time that the group and Riot's first-person shooter title are working together in an official sense, but KATSEYE and VALORANT have been in the same conversation before. After the group guested in Imane "Pokimane" Anys' stream, Megan apparently DM-ed the streamer and invited her for a gaming session.

M.I.A. was part of KATSEYE's second EP, Beautiful Chaos, released in June of this year. This EP included "Gnarly," the group's first track on the Billboard Top 100.

Due to one song, "Gameboy," having some video game elements in it, some of the group's fans (called "Eyekons") were already hypothesizing a collaboration between them and VALORANT.

This Nostradamus moment was acknowledged by VALORANT, saying, "manifesting really works."

This is the first time that the VALORANT Game Changers Championship will get a cinematic and a unique anthem since 2022. That year, we saw the SEIZE THE PLAY cinematic trailer accompanied by the official anthem “ALL EYES ON ME” ft. Jean Deaux & Whipped Cream.

For 2023 and 2024, the cinematics would be labeled as hype films, but still with an upbeat track. We got an original score by Karel Psota in 2023, while Yonaka's PREDATOR was featured for 2024.

VALORANT 2025 Game Changers Championship, with KATSEYE's M.I.A. as the official anthem, begins on November 20 in Seoul, South Korea, and will see the best teams of women and marginalized genders compete to lift the trophy. For coverage of GCC 2025, stick around esports.gg.
