Jinggg’s back to the competition.
Jing Jie "Jinggg" Wang is back on Paper Rex's active roster. The Singaporean player left the team to fulfill his mandatory military service, but has now returned.
Jinggg returns to the team to replace newest member, Cahya "Monyet" Nugraha. The 18-year-old is now a reserve at Paper Rex. Jinggg's debut on his return to Paper Rex will occur on April 7. The game against T1 in the Pacific League will celebrate Jinggg's return.
Paper Rex with a surprising move
Paper Rex surprised everyone with the news of Jinggg's return to the team this Friday. Jinggg was exempted from military service for health reasons. In a statement on the social network X, the organization explained:
"It has been assessed that Jinggg has a life-long medical condition that is managed with ongoing treatment. Upon medical evaluation and review, he is medically unfit for military service.
Paper Rex has determined that his medical condition does not affect his ability to compete at the highest levels of esports."
Jinggg continued to be registered as a reserve for Paper Rex during his time away from the competition. However, the player now returns and renews his contract until 2026 with the organization.

Jinggg returns, Monyet benched
Signed to Global Esports in September last year, Monyet competed in two official VCT competitions with Paper Rex. The team with Monyet took second place in the Pacific Kickoff and in the international competitions, they took third place at Masters Madrid.
Replacing Jinggg at Paper Rex was no easy task. The last competition with the player was Champions, losing in the grand final to Evil Geniuses. The bar was set high and although there was initial skepticism, it seemed like Monyet was growing and adapting to the team over time.
Paper Rex thus returns to the roster that champions the Pacific League, third place in Masters Tokyo and finalist in the Champions League.
