Everyone knew the rumors were true, but now G2 Esports has officially announced that Jawgemo is a member of the VALORANT team.
The signing window opened up on October 7. We saw a lot of players leave their teams prior to that, and the first big announcement was a long-rumored one. G2 Esports revealed their newest play, former world champion Alexander "Jawgemo" Mor.
He joins the storied organization in its second year of VCT partnership. This comes after the team parted ways with Jacob "icy" Lange. Many believed it was just a matter of time before Jawgemo joined up with the G2 clan.

Jawgemo joins G2 Esports in VCT Americas
We all know how good Jawgemo is. He helped Evil Geniuses to a VALORANT Champions victory in 2023. While that team fell apart in the off-season, he remained on EG to try and keep the org afloat in the VCT standings.
That didn't quite happen, but he still put on quite the show throughout the 2024 season. Recently, EG said its farewell to Jawgemo, and the rumors of him joining G2 Esports were all but confirmed at that point.
G2 released a short video, where it was clear they were planning a jailbreak from the "EG jail" meme of last year. They pull his file and bust him out of prison, presenting him with a G2 Esports jersey to his approval.
Content like that to announce a new player is always fun to watch. Especially when it includes the other members of the team. So, with Jawgemo's addition, here is the current G2 Esports roster in VCT Americas:
- Jonah "JonahP" Pulice
- Trent "trent" Cairns
- Jacob "valyn" Batio
- Nathan "leaf" Orf
- Alexander "Jawgemo" Mor
- Josh "JoshRT" Lee (Coach)
With icy gone, expect Jawgemo to slot into the primary Duelist role. But don't be surprised if there are some interesting Agent choices on this team, as leaf used to be known as one of the top Duelists in NA. This team should be an exciting one to watch when the 2025 VCT kicks off.
