Esports.gg sent a question to valyn regarding the outcome of the VALORANT Masters Bangkok Grand Final between G2 and T1.
G2 Esports and T1 went the distance in the VALORANT Masters Bangkok Grand Final. The final two maps out of the five both saw overtime periods that went to T1, who then hoisted the trophy. That left Jacob "valyn" Batio and his G2 teammates clearly heart broken.
Still, they attended the post-match press conference where esports.gg sent a question towards the IGL. The emotions were high and they only answered a few questions, so we thank valyn for answering what we wanted to know.

G2 valyn is confident his team will win the next one
We noted the days since it was announced that The Guard would not be in the VCT. A total of 551 from then until the Grand Final of Bangkok. The team has grown and accomplished a lot, reaching Grand Final matches, winning regional trophies, and finding the missing pieces of the puzzle.
Still, they fell in the Grand Final of Masters Bangkok to T1. But with that growth and sense of accomplishment in the past, is there a silver lining with more VCT to take on in 2025? Here's what valyn had to say:
"A silver lining for me? I think that was some of the best resilience I've ever seen, out of my team, honestly. And we played really well, but it wasn't enough. And I told them earlier, the life of a competitor is the hardest thing ever, man.
"You go through the lowest lows, and you also reach the highest highs with the team you have. There's no life without losses in everything you do. So, I told them, what's a life of only winning? We never wanted that.
"Silver lining, I think, there's still more tournaments. We got experience here. This will only motivate us to get better. I wish I could show them how much they mean to me, my team. Because I wouldn't want it any other way.
"All of the hard sh*t we've been through, man. You guys are so good at this game. You guys make life, every day, so fun. it's alright we lost. I'm already coming to terms with it, because f*ck it, bro. We're going to win the next one, one hundred percent."
It's clear he loves his teammates and what they've have accomplished. But what he may love more is what they still have left to accomplish. Masters Toronto and Champions Paris are yet to come, including two regional stages in Americas that will surely put them to the test.
