G2 Gozen vs Team Liquid: The end of the road for one
G2 Gozen are the defending champions from 2022. Shopify knocked them down to the Lower Bracket and they have a chance for revenge if they make it past Team Liquid. A repeat has to be the only thing on their minds.
Team Liquid, the hometown heroes, have a shot at their own revenge. They've fought through the Lower Bracket since the start of the tournament, being bested by their Lower Final opposition. It's make or break time without a minute to rest between their victory over Team SMG.
Both teams have plenty left to prove, but this is the end of the road for one of them. The final boss awaits in the Grand Final. This is what Game Changers is about. The best of the best are fighting for their lives with just one obstacle to follow.

G2 Gozen vs Team Liquid Lower Final recap and highlights
Map 1: Ascent
Team Liquid has had great showings on Ascent throughout the tournament. They looked to repeat that against G2, taking the first two rounds with ease. G2 responded immediately by taking two of their own. That set them up for an early lead against the Brazilian team, but TL had no problem tying it at five a piece. A back and forth battle defined the opening half, with neither team able to stay on top.
Sides switched and TL came out swinging. Three in a row went in their favor, preventing G2 was securing the bonus round. And with that, Liquid looked to speedrun the second half. G2 Gozen put up a fight to snag a couple of rounds, but couldn't get anything else going as TL's defense was too strong. The hometown team went up by one in the series.
Map 2: Lotus
Much like map one, Team Liquid got off to a hot start. G2 then retaliated, but were unable to push for a lead as they did previously. That role would be taken over by Liquid. And there would be no tie at the half. Huge plays all around, including a 3k clutch by Joojina helped them reach halftime with a four round lead.
G2 Gozen fought back within two on their attacking side. Even with some solid defense by Team Liquid, G2 managed to keep things close once they got the score to that point. Waiting for them, however, was another 4k by Joojina. The TL Controller player has had quite the tournament and continued her MVP-worthy gameplay to bring her team to double digits. TL persevered through the end, shutting down the 2022 champs and punching their ticket to the Grand Final.
