It is the third day of action in the VCT LOCK//IN 2023 tournament with Evil Geniuses vs Team Heretics. EMEA will be looking to restore some pride to the region after NRG took down KOI in the opening series of the tournament.

A perfect first-round draw for both teams
This is a perfect opportunity for both of these newly formed rosters to get off to a strong start. Although Heretics has performed in a couple of tournaments prior to LOCK//IN, this is their first official VCT match with their new roster. The same goes for Evil Geniuses, they seem to have settled on a five-man roster for Brazil.
Both squads have avoided the heavy hitters in their opening round which should decrease some of the nerves given the tournament is only single-elimination.
