Cloud9 vs. Sentinels is your Grand Final for the Red Bull Home Ground NA Qualifier, determining which team heads to the World Final.

The Grand Final of the Red Bull Home Ground NA Qualifier is upon us. We've got a battle of VCT Americas teams, with Cloud9 vs. Sentinels. Cloud9 took down Moist x Shopify with two dominant maps after losing a hard first one.

The second match of the day saw Sentinels defeat a very game YFP squad in a map three overtime banger. So, with two stand-ins a piece, C9 and SEN go at it in the last match of the tournament. The winner punches their ticket to the World Final later in the year.

Its a wonderful opportunity to watch some of the best VCT teams from America play against each other. Of course, you can see it over and over again throughout the regular season, but its definitely fun with differing stakes during an OFF//SEASON event.

In this Red Bull Home Ground NA Qualifier Grand Final, expect some trolling, expect some aggressive comps, and expect two teams that are familiar with each other to make the most out of the opportunity.

Read on for a summary of each map along with clips that highlight the action.

Map 1: Lotus

Sentinels struck first in this one with a solid pistol round. The following saw an Ace from zekken where the last two kills were with Raze's Boombot. The teams would trade some rounds as a nice Rolling Thunder stopped a defuse and helped C9 get their second round. That would set them up to tie it at three soon after.

A wild retake from SEN stopped C9 from pulling ahead, tying it themselves at four. Neither team would find a massive lead as they went back and forth. SEN would pull ahead just a bit, however, and have a small lead at halftime.

The lead extended with Sentinels claiming the second half pistol round. A quick attack on B site easily got them to nine. Cloud9 wasn't done yet, though, as v1c secured their seventh round of the map. C9 continued to fight back, eventually tying it at nine a piece.

Soon enough, C9 had double digits and the lead. It didn't look like they were going to stop any time soon, pushing their lead further and hitting 11 rounds. Map point soon followed due to C9's unbreakable defense. It was inevitable at that point, as map one was theirs.

Map 2: Bind

Cloud9's map one momentum carried over to Bind. They went up with an easy three rounds in a row. A 3K from moose put his K/D at 8 and 0 at the end of the fourth round. Sentinels got some much needed help through their economy to finally put their first together.

That did not start any sort of streak for them. There really wasn't anything fancy from C9. They just stood their ground on defense. Eventually, SEN were able to stall long enough to get their second. While they'd get another, a 3K from v1c put a stop to their rounds.

SEN needed a 9:3 to come to life if they wanted to force a map three. They started well with another pistol victory. This was followed by one more round win, but they could not convert the bonus and Cloud9 hit 10.

It wasn't over at this point, though. Sentinels got a good defensive stand going to fight back into it. The second half Sentinels were here once more at Red Bull Home Ground. They pushed to tie it at 10. Of course, that's when C9 came back to life. A clutch by Xeppaa brought it to series point. A solid post-plant ended it and gave C9 the trophy.
