BLG vs SEN: Match recap

Check out this section after the games to see the highlights of each map played.

Map 1

Bilibili Gaming came out strong, dominating the game from the very first minute. Their strategic positioning and aggressive play style were key to making an immediate impact. Sentinels, on the other hand, started cautiously, missing out on the bonus and subsequently dropping four rounds in a row, an early setback that could have shaken their confidence. However, Sentinels didn’t give up. In the second half, they rallied impressively, winning numerous rounds and turning the momentum in their favor.

The fans’ hope for a comeback began to rise, but Bilibili Gaming responded with a powerful round to reach 12 points, just one round away from securing the first match victory. Rushia and whzy were leading the charge with standout performances, putting Sentinels under immense pressure and making their comeback increasingly challenging. After almost an hour of the game, BLG won the first map.

Sentinels needed to reevaluate their team strategies, as their struggles stemmed less from individual mistakes and more from a lack of cohesion as a unit. Can we expect a shift in tactics and map selection in the second match?

Map 2

Sunset was a stark contrast to the first game. Sentinels played with far more confidence, and Zekken’s Neon showcased incredible mobility, expertly taking key angles before Bilibili Gaming could react and clutching impossible pixels seemingly out of nowhere. His performance was nothing short of diabolical, it was as if he were a completely different player compared to the first match.

The second half might as well have not existed for Bilibili Gaming, as Sentinels utterly dominated the game, steamrolling through it with ruthless efficiency and closing it out in a decisive stomp.

Map 3

The third map started on much more even ground. Unlike the first two games, which swung decisively toward each team, Lotus presented a tightly contested battle. In the second half, Sentinels came out with greater confidence, approaching each round with measured patience.

The pace slowed considerably, with both teams cautiously hunting for picks, executing site fakes, and meticulously gathering information, resulting in fewer flashy plays but a tense, strategic duel. It's not correct to affirm that Bilibili Gaming was playing badly because they were not, but Sentinels were executing their team plays and strategy better.

Bilibili Gaming ended up winning important rounds and getting closer to Sentinels. After some big mistakes from the Chinese team, Sentinels wins the third map and qualify for the VALORANT Masters Toronto Playoffs Stage.
