Benjyfishy joins Team Heretics VALORANT roster

Fans can watch him play next at VCT EMEA LCQ starting next week.

A journey that started nearly a year ago has come full circle. Former Fortnite superstar Benjy "benjyfishy" Fish has climbed the ladder to join Tier 1 VALORANT esports org, Team Heretics. His next goal is simple - to win a top-tier VALORANT title.

Benjyfishy has joined Team Heretics VALORANT roster just ahead of the team’s participation in the VCT EMEA LCQ. While this might not be enough time for the team to reach its peak performance, Benjyfishy’s addition is a definite boost to Team Heretics who will look to make an impact in the upcoming LCQ.

Former Fortnite superstar now aims for VALORANT stardom

Last year, Benjyfishy announced he is stepping down from playing Fortnite competitively as he had fallen out of love with the game. He announced he would try to compete in VALORANT, and took the hard route

Team Heretic’s VALORANT roster is now as follows:

  • Wassim "keloqz" Cista
  • Óscar "mixwell" Colocho
  • Auni "AvovA" Chahade
  • Ričardas "Boo" Lukaševičius
  • Benjy "benjyfishy" Fish

Benjyfishy joined NRG as a VALORANT streamer before joining Enterprise Esports as a stand-in. The team had some decent results including winning the Comic Con Prague #3 as well as the Grunex Challenge #2. They came second in both the Splits of the VALORANT Challengers 2023 East Surge with Benjyfishy highlighting some exceptional aim and gameplay as well. However, they couldn’t win the Challengers which was a requisite for teams advancing to Ascension. Acend won both the Splits and advanced to Ascension based on their total points. Benjyfishy left the team on June 11 and Enterprise esports attended the EMEA Ascension Play Ins without him, eventually unable to make the cut.

The VALORANT EMEA LCQ is the final opportunity for EMEA teams to qualify for VCT Champs in Los Angeles. There are six teams that are competing for two of the teams to qualify for the final tournament of the season. As such, Benjyfish’y addition to the roster is Heretic’s final attempt at boosting their firepower and synergy ahead of LCQ.
