The Devil form of Kazuya Mishima was shown during the first Tekken 8 trailer. However, as seasoned Tekken fans will know, Devil Kazuya is also a stance that Kazuya can transform into in several games to unlock new moves. So whether this is a stand-alone character or a transformation remains to be seen.

Devil Jin

Alongside his father’s Devil form, Jin Kazama’s Devil form will seemingly make a return. This was showcased in the first trailer for the game. However, as with Kazuya, it may be the case that Jin has now gained control of the Devil gene, and can transform at will.

Eddy Gordo was confirmed as Tekken 8's first DLC character via the opening movie trailer. Eddy Gordo first entered the franchise in Tekken 3, and has been a mainstay ever since. Bandai Namco did not give an exact date for Eddy's release as a DLC character outside of Spring 2024.

Jack’s latest form will be Jack-8, seeing the hulking robot return to the game. There’s been a Jack in every game, and special versions like Prototype Jack also appearing. Hwoarang, the man who caused a thousand rage-quits, returns for Tekken 8 as per a trailer revealed in April. The Taekwondo master is back, with his repeated kicks, rivalry with Jin Kazama, and fast-paced style all intact. Whether he's the button-mashers' favorite fighter again remains to be seen...

Bryan Fury

A newcomer for Tekken 8, the so-called "Coffee Queen" is the series' first Peruvian character, and utilizes a dance and boxing inspired move-set to deadly effect. Cheerful and hyperactive, we can't help but think it might have something to do with all the coffee she's drinking!

Yoshimitsu

The fearsome Yoshimitsu returns to Tekken for Tekken 8! A fan favorite, and with no doubt that this iconic Tekken character would make the cut, it's still a pleasant surprise to find the eccentric ninja joining the game. Especially with Tekken 8's seeming high focus on weapons. Finally a place for him to swing his sword outside of a Soul Calibur game!

Steve Fox

Steve, the boxer with no kicks, but unlimited potential to kick your ass was confirmed along with six other fighters at GamesCom's Opening Night Live event trailer. The British Boxer displayed his stereotypical accent and lightning fast punches in a devastating display during the trailer!

The oldest-looking 27-year-old in existence, Sergei Dragunov returns for Tekken 8. Having spent most of his military career fighting ninjas, perhaps time is taking its toll on the Russian Sambo user.

(Image via Bandai Namco)

A surprise reappearance, Shaheen, a user of "military martial arts" is back in Tekken to investigate the suspicious death of his best friend. As with so many things in the Tekken universe, it looks like the Mishima Zaibatsu is to blame, so Shaheen is on a collision course with Kazuya.

Leo, the dashing German Bajiquan-using boy returns for Tekken 8! Just like so many characters in Tekken, it looks like Mishima Zaibatsu or G Corp caused the death of Leo's mother. So he's out for revenge! Join the line, kid. There's like 20 people in this game who want to kill Kazuya... Leo's trailer dropped late after is initial reveal, on Nov. 23

Kuma

Kuma returns! Kuma was announced at GamesCom, and we love the way he's changed. Having taking on some of Heihachi's fighting-style (his adopted and now deceased father/owner), Kuma looks to be a menace in Tekken 8, and we can't wait to get our paws on him!

Feng Wei

Feng Wei was revealed for the game on September 19 alongside the Closed Beta Test. The God Fist Style Chinese martial arts user debuted in Tekken 5 and has been a staple ever since.
