It's been a tough year for TEKKEN 8. The chaos of Season 2 rebalance and a deeply emotional reaction to Fahkumram shook up the community. At the end of 2025, we discovered that Katsuhiro Harada leaves Bandai Namco and the TEKKEN Project behind. Only esports competition was steadily strong amidst all this.
And the competitive season is not over yet! The best TEKKEN 8 players in the world gather in Malmö, Sweden, to battle for an extremely prestigious champion title. The TEKKEN World Tour (TWT) Final is from Jan. 30 to Feb. 1.
To be here, the fighting games competitors participated in multiple international events, earning global standing points. There also were regional leaderboards: for one top player to advance to the final. Those who missed such chances, can prove their skills during the LCQ, with only one spot available.
