The second DLC character of TEKKEN 8 Season 2 is Fahkumram. He returns to the fighting series, but not everyone is happy about this.
During EVO Japan 2025, the FGC discovered who will arrive in TEKKEN 8 after Anna Williams. The starting tournament of the TEKKEN World Tour 2025 was a nice opportunity to reveal the developers’ plans for balance adjustments in Season 2 and for new fighters in the roster.
As it was promised earlier, the second character in Season 2 is someone from the earlier TEKKEN 8 games. Fahkumram, a scary Muay Thai fighter, is back!
Fahkumram in TEKKEN 8: Reveal
The official reveal of Fahkumram was part of the extended TEKKEN 8 Season 2 roadmap announcement, which highlighted all the changes coming to the game in spring and summer.
After confirming that more balance adjustments are present in the plans and showing all the cosmetics, the trailer lets us see the return of Fahkumram. During a destructive storm, a box falls from the sky, and Fahkumram emerges from it. The guy frees himself from this prison. He is obviously ready to battle.
“You’re my next victim.”
Fahkumram gameplay
We still know nothing about TEKKEN 8 Fahkumram gameplay. Considering the approach to Anna Williams, we can expect big changes for the character compared to the previous game.
The gameplay trailer for Fahkumram will be shown during the TEKKEN 8 tournament at the fighting games esports event Combo Breaker 2025 on May 25.
In TEKKEN 7, Fahkumram follows a pretty traditional Muay Thai fighting style. In addition to punches and kicks, he uses his knees and elbows. His play style is heavily offensive, with a reliance on mix-ups to open the opponent up. In his first TEKKEN game, Fahkumram has unique charge-up attacks and benefits from pushing opponents to the wall.

The community’s reaction: Not great
Many players are not happy with this choice. Their reasoning mainly falls into the following categories.
- People want someone else from the legacy roster.
- Fahkumram was a DLC character in TEKKEN 7, and Bandai Namco just repeats the same pattern.
- The character looks mainly the same.
- He was too strong, so we don’t want him. Prepare nerfs!
The positive feedback is still there, as some TEKKEN players are just glad to accept a new character. Maybe they were playing Fahkumram in TEKKEN 7 and want to be back destroying opponents?
The mixed reaction is nicely reflected in this social post of Knee, the TEKKEN 8 Evo Japan 2025 Champion.
