Despite all the difficulties, Pakistani players established themselves as some of the best in TEKKEN 8 Season 1.

An epic TEKKEN 8 clash happened in Seoul, Korea, from March 14 to March 16. It was a team battle between the two strongest TEKKEN regions: Pakistan vs Korea. While Korea dominated the exhibition matches, Pakistani players earned substantially more wins during the competitive tournament.

After the victory, the legendary TEKKEN 8 competitor, Arslan Ash, took a moment to talk about general difficulties Pakistani players face and overcome to get stronger.

TEKKEN 8 Pakistan vs Korea

While the community is waiting for TEKKEN World Tour 2025 to kick off at Evo Japan, two groups of esports pros faced each other in this extraordinary interregional clash. Both Pakistan and Korea were represented by the best TEKKEN 8 players in the world.

  • Pakistan: Arslan Ash (he won T8 Evo 2024 this season), ATIF (CEO 2024 winner), Farzeen, THE JON, Numan Ch, Usama Abbasi, Hafiz Tanveer.
  • Korea: Knee, Ulsan (the EWC 2024 winner), Rangchu (TWT 2024 champion), CBM, JeonDDing, Mulgold, Chanel, LowHigh.

The event continued for three days, including the exhibition matches. Here is the Final Day stream.

Team Korea won all three exhibition matches. Pakistan celebrated seven victories on Day 1, against three losses. On the Final Day, TEKKEN 8 Pakistani players won 13 matches out of 22.

No, Arslan Ash did not carry his team, and this is a great aspect of the tournament. Other players were amazing in their matches — even if not all of them have many chances to participate in international tournaments. It was a thing highlighted by Arslan Ash on the stage after the victory.

Arslan Ash got somewhat emotional after the Team Pakistan victory

In his short speech, Arslan Ash covered issues TEKKEN 8 players from Pakistan face in their professional esports career.

“We didn’t have money to play. We have electricity issues. We have visa problems. Our passport is among the worst 5 in the world, so we cannot travel anywhere. And like from 2019 till now, 2025, we have suffered a lot in terms of financial issues. Recently, sponsors are not sponsoring players because some of the players don't have the USA visa.”

However, the legend does not focus on problems but rather highlights them to show the true value of Team Pakistan’s achievement.

“Winning and coming from such circumstances, I think we truly deserve the right to celebrate this. And we truly deserve the right to say that now, in Season 1, we are the best. And we shall prove it again and again.”

After the tournament, Arslan shared that clip on his social page and expressed his intention to inspire new generations of esports players in Pakistan.

The example of Pakistani competitors may be pretty inspirational for those who have fewer obstacles for training and participating in tournaments.

The next content and competitive season starts in TEKKEN 8 pretty soon. Anna Williams joins the roster on April 3. The first Master tournament of the TEKKEN World Tour 2025 happens at Evo Japan 2025, from May 9 to May 11.
