TFT patch 15.1 release date

Patch 15.1, also known as the K.O. Coliseum or TFT Set 15 patch, arrived today on July 30. This means players can now jump into the game and test out the new Power Ups set mechanic, collect a bunch of new cosmetics, progress through K.O. Coliseum Pass Part 1, and so much more.

Of course, what makes this set special is that players can build teams with anime-themed champions and traits. Examples of these traits include Star Guardian, The Crew, Battle Academia, and Soul Fighter. In an interview prior to K.O. Coliseum’s release, set lead Michael Sloan told esports.gg that his favorite trait is The Crew!

“For me personally, I’m a big fan of The Crew. I love that space western cowboy future-esque thing,” he said. “Those are some of my favorite shows. As someone who plays re-roll a lot, The Crew is also just a very novel re-roll experience with a cool payout. So that’s probably my personal favorite just because of the shows I like.”

TFT patch 15.1 notes

For players who still have questions about the size of Lulu’s bag, Katie “Riot Ukime” Guo also went into how it works for the unit and her monsters. Lulu is a 3-cost unit with 18 total copies in the pool, but once a player chooses a monster, Lulu’s availability depends on that monster’s specific bag. Picking Lulu removes a copy from the shared pool as well. If all 18 copies are taken, then players who haven’t chosen a monster won’t see Lulu in their shop anymore.

In terms of other key features of the new set, they include role revamps, and augment adjustments, and item updates. Below are all of the major patch 15.1 notes and details, courtesy of Riot Games.

Power Ups mechanic

Power Ups are powerful effects that you can grant to any champion through a Power Snax consumable.
You are granted a Power Snax twice per game, once at Round 1-3 and again at Round 3-6.
Using a Power Snax on a champion opens an armory of 3 Power Ups for them. Selecting an option grants them that Power Up.
Each Champion has their own pool of available Power Ups that work for them or enhance them uniquely.
Power Ups can enhance a champion in many different ways: Trait improvements/play pattern changes, Team-Ups/Duos, Perma-stacking, Ability/Functionality changes and more…
Power Ups can be removed by selling the champion anytime or by using a Power Remover consumable that is acquired once per stage.
Power Ups are only active while champions are fielded on the player’s board, similar to traits.
