Magic n’ Mayhem promises a castle of curiosities!

Riot Games has revealed the first look at its Teamfight Tactics (TFT): Magic n' Mayhem update! Read on for everything to know about this update, including the TFT Set 12 Magic n' Mayhem release date, champions, Charms mechanic, and more.

TFT Set 12 release date

The Magic n' Mayhem update will kick off on July 31, 2024. It will feature Norra and Yuumi's debut, the arrival of Briar and Smolder, and the Chrono skin line. The update will also have the new Charms gameplay mechanic plus the return of Milio, and Nomsy, Shyvana.

“With its whimsical feel, vibrant color scheme and lighthearted champions, Magic n’ Mayhem captures the upbeat vibes of the summer season,” Magic n’ Mayhem set lead designer Sam Judd said. “We wanted to create a place for players to embrace their creativity and prove their mastery over various spellcrafts alongside champions they know and love. We’re looking forward to opening the doors to the Magitorium!”

TFT Magic n' Mayhem Tacticians, Little Legends, and Chibis

In total, TFT Set 12 will showcase 60 champions, more than 200 Augments, including the High-Stakes one, and 27 traits. There will also be new Tacticians such as Lumie and Lumie’s variants alongside new variants of the existing Bun Bun Little Legends.

Meanwhile, the four new Chibi champions arriving to the new set will be Miss Fortune, Battle Bunny Miss Fortune, Galaxy Slayer Zed, and Prestige Cafe Cuties Gwen.

"Players will see the new premium Le Bunny Bonbon Bistro arena for the first time," Riot Games added in an official announcement. Check out all of what the new set has to offer in the video below. The video also goes over Charms at the 5:02 mark.

TFT Charms mechanic explained

In TFT, Charms refer to single-use spells that can be bought. Magic n' Mayhem will include over 100 Charms, and they will have various functions such as giving amplifying traits, combat power, helping with economy, providing disruptions, and more. Below is a gallery of Charms in TFT, courtesy of Riot Games.

Riot Games announces TFT Macao Open

On July 14 during the TFT Tactician's Crown Finals, Riot Games announced the game's next global LAN event. TFT Macao Open will take place in Macao, China between Dec. 13 and Dec. 15! This open-bracket tournament will have available 512 spots plus a $300,000 prize pool.
