The Teamfight Tactics (TFT) competitive format has an all-new look for Set 11 and beyond, dividing it into four major pan-regions, akin to VALORANT.

The new TFT competitive format is splitting the global scene into four pan-regions of Americas, China (CN), Europe, Middle East, and Africa (EMEA), as well as Asia Pacific (APAC). Here is everything you need to know on what's in store for competitive TFT in 2024.

Pan-Regional Finals

The above pan-regional tournaments feed into the Americas, EMEA, and APAC Golden Spatula Pan-Regional Finals for qualification to the Set 11 world championship. Here's some extra information on the Americas qualification process.

Americas Golden Spatula

  • Combined NA, BR, and LATAM Pan-Regional Finals
  • Top 3 in points qualify to Inkborn Fables Tactician's Crown (Set 11 world championship)
  • Best Average Placement among non-qualified competitors also qualifies to Inkborn Fables Tactician's Crown

Americas Qualifier Points

The highest qualifier point earner from each respective sub-region of NA, BR, and LATAM will qualify to the Inkborn Fables Tactician's Crown.

More info will be released soon on the exact tournament information for Americas, EMEA, and APAC. This format is also planned to be implemented for Sets 12 and 13.

Main broadcast update

In their TFT esports announcement, Riot also revealed that there will be no official Riot broadcast of the Tactician's Trials and Cups. They are looking to support the co-streamer and pro player point-of-view broadcasts for those tournaments. However, there will still be official Riot broadcasts for the Pan-Regional Final Golden Spatula tournaments and, of course, the Inkborn Fables Tactician's Crown.

TFT competitive format: China (CN)

China's TFT competitive scene will operate similarly to how they have been the past few sets. Two circuits will feed directly into the China Regional Finals. The TFT Open Championship, played on TFT, and the JCC Open Championship, played on Fight for the Golden Spatula, will culminate in deciding China's representatives at the Inkborn Fables Tactician's Crown.
