TFT Ao Shin's Ascent release date

Ao Shin's Ascent launches for TFT players on Sept. 24 at 10 a.m. PT. This arrives shortly after TFT patch 15.5. Ao Shin’s Ascent is then playable until the end of TFT patch 15.6 on Oct. 8.

How to play Ao Shin's Ascent in TFT

What is Ao Shin's Ascent? It's a limited-time, single-player game mode with progressively tougher PvE battles and bosses. The goal is to climb a mountain and rescue Little Legends by building a strong board and using augments. The mode features a Journey Track that lets players gain progress toward the mountain's summit regardless if they win or lose. Each run makes one stronger thanks to this roguelite progression system.

TFT guide mechanic in Ao Shin's Ascent

The journey to the summit also allows players to choose a difficulty, guide, and boss in every run. Guides, in particular, refer to a key mechanic in Ao Shin's Ascent. Players can unlock guides through the aforementioned Journey Track and recruit them to access particular strategies and powers.

Zoe, for example, grants random loot. Meanwhile, Battle Queen Gwen, a bundle-exclusive guide, grants access to powerful items from different TFT sets.

The Ao Shin’s Ascent Guide Pack offering requires 575 RP and comes with an emote and guides Battle Queen Gwen plus Truth Dragon Yasuo. Meanwhile, the Ao Shin’s Ascent Mega Bundle costs 2,780 RP and includes the emote, both guides, the Awakened Ao Shin and Sol Harbinger Ao Shin Little Legends, and the second K.O. Coliseum Pass+ track.

According to Riot Games, players who clear the summit with at least 12 guides can get the Ao Shin’s Ascent Portal for free!
