The last mid-set of Teamfight Tactics is almost upon us. TFT Set 9.5 Horizonbound will be released on September 13, with Patch 13.18.

The Teamfight Tactics developers have been working hard on a lot of new changes for the upcoming TFT Set 9.5, Horizonbound. Throughout the past week, the TFT devs have released little bits of information each day on social media. However, leaks from third-party sources became an issue and lead designer Stephen "Mortdog" Mortimer made sure outdated and false information was corrected.

Here's everything that Riot Games has released so far about TFT Set 9.5 Horizonbound!

New Set 9.5 Traits

Bilgewater

Bilgewater units in combat - Miss Fortune, Graves, Nautilus, Illaoi (Video via Riot Games)

A 3/5/7/9-piece trait will introduce extra splash damage into fights as enemies will be marked for a periodic artillery barrage. Bilgewater is also coming with a new region portal, Rat Town. Rat Town will provide random lucky shops that have units tailored to your team.

Bilgewater units in Set 9.5 will include:

  • Graves
  • Illaoi
  • Twisted Fate
  • Miss Fortune
  • Nautilus
  • Nilah
  • Gangplank

Ixtal

When active, Ixtal units will make elemental hexes appear on the board. From game to game, the element varies, and they are designed to further empower the Ixtal units! This is a trait version of the Set 2 mechanic. The introduction of Ixtal means a new region portal in Ixaocan. This portal will grant increasingly valuable loot as team star-value goes up.

Ixtal units in the upcoming set include:

  • Milio
  • Qiyana
  • Neeko

Vanquisher

This new trait gives these units increased critical strike chance against tankier enemies. Xayah will be the premiere 4-cost carry of the trait.
