Valkyrae has announced the formation of her own animation-focused media company by the name of Hihi Studios.

Rachel "Valkyrae" Hofstetter is one of the most well-known content creators on the planet. The 100 Thieves co-owner has been the most watched female streamer on YouTube since 2020. And now Valkyrae expands her reach even further with a brand new media company named Hihi Studios.

In an exclusive feature with Variety, Valkyrae has revealed Hihi Studios and its intentions. The focus of Hihi Studios is to develop and produce anime-centric content. This comes in the form of graphic novels, television shows, and film.

The studio has its own X account, where it reposted a video from Vakyrae's main X that introduces the studio to the masses. In her post, she states that she is excited to finally announce the company, as her love of animation is the means behind it and its creations.

Per the exclusive with Variety, Valkyrae states the studio's name comes from how she'd greet her stream. She'd start by saying "hihi" to them, and has now incorporated it into the media company as a fun "little Easter egg."

She continues by explaining her reason behind launching her own studio rather than partnering with an already established one:

"I’ve been lucky enough to partner with some incredible creatives to market their own IPs and always felt that my community was excited to support me in my own.  It feels like the right time for me to champion my own ideas in a new medium that I have not yet explored. It is something I plan to be involved in for, hopefully, many years to come. "

As of now, the first IP from the studio is unknown. Variety has reported, however, that Valkyrae and Hihi Studios have a co-publishing deal in place with GlobalComix. This partnership will help fund and develop projects, as well as distribute physical and digital media from Hihi.
