A school rebuilt and a new one coming! Nigerian students will benefit from the millionaire investment made by Kai Cenat’s Foundation.
Almost a year ago, Kai Cenat posted a series of videos about his trip to Africa, which kicked off the idea of starting a foundation to raise money to build a school in Nigeria. After doing some tourism and creating content for his stream, Kai visited a small town he wanted to help. He asked about what they needed, but the only immediate thing he could do was give them cash.
However, Kai wanted to do something more. He visited a school that, like the town, was built over a river. “This building is sinking,” a young teacher said. “We are looking for support to rebuild it and make it strong.” This was the scene that could have convinced Kai that this was his next dream.
“I went to school in a class that was five times bigger than this place,” said the streamer to his chat. This is all documented in his YouTube video: My First Day Living In Africa! (Nigeria). After his tour around the school, he said the following line: “The next time I come here, I want this to be a whole different thing.”
How Much Progress Has the Kai Cenat Foundation’s School in Nigeria Made?
On April 27, Kai Cenat shared some news about the funding for the school in Nigeria. He officially announced the creation of the Kai Cenat Foundation. His presentation pointed out that they are currently a million dollars into the project.
Previously, Kai Cenat promised that 20% of his Mafiathon 2 earnings would be destined for rebuilding the school in Makoko. This was already implemented, and the Foundation’s earnings do not include this money, which makes the total sum even more impressive.
The land for the school has already been selected and will be purchased this month. The streamer also told his chat that he’s in talks with partners like Google and Amazon.

Why is the Project taking so long?
Kai Cenat revealed some challenges the Kai Cenat Foundation faced. He told the audience how a storm destroyed much of the progress they had made on the school in Makoko. Since the building was over the river, nothing could be saved after the natural disaster.
Fortunately, he also showed some pictures of the new school. Now, it features two floors and many improvements for both students and teachers.

Kai Cenat may reveal more plans and updates very soon, or even a new trip to Nigeria. Keep updated with esports.gg!
