An incredible accomplishment for shroud and the streaming community.
Popular streamer Shroud has cracked the seven-digit mark in his 2025 Fragathon charity fundraiser for St. Jude. The event passed the $1 million mark on Feb. 9 with over half of the money raised coming straight from the community.
The 2025 Fragathon was run in the memory of Shroud's late father, with all funds raised donated to the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital for breakthroughs in the treatment of childhood cancer and other diseases. Beating the million-dollar mark also means shroud must honor his word when he first set out to start Fragathon — to start his own esports org.
Ludwig, Tarik, Trainwrecks, bbno$ help contribute to Shroud's monumental fundraiser goal
The massive $1 million mark was beaten in the early hours of Feb. 9. "There it is, there it is — let's go!" shroud said on stream, bringing in friends and family to celebrate.
Shroud's Fragathon began the day at a little over $750,000 raised with the million-dollar mark the goal. The final day included a combination of games and auctions; high-grade Pokémon and MTG cards went for thousands as big name collectors got involved.
The auctions saw the target skyrocket, with the total coming within spitting distance of the million. That's when shroud announced he hadn't included the ad revenue made for the fundraiser — an additional $100,000.
"I set my goal for a million [but] I didn't think we'd actually cross it. Thank you for this insane month with all these donations," shroud said. "Thank you for sticking with us, big W's to you guys. We had a lot of hiccups, we had a lot of power outages but we got through it in the end."
It was a record-breaking month for the 30-year-old. He set out in January with a goal to donate $1 from every "frag" in any game, ultimately racking up over 250,000 kills during the Fragathon. It wasn't just FPS titles, too; while the bulk of the month was spent playing Marvel Rivals and VALORANT, shroud branched out across genres to score kills.
From a return to Counter-Strike to League of Legends, Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 and Minecraft, shroud played over two dozen titles during the Fragathon.
He wasn't alone, with his partner Hannah (Bnans), fellow streamer Ludwig, former CS:GO teammate Skadoodle, and many others also adding to the total via their kill count for the month as Fragathon Partners.
Additional donations came from big-name streamers like Trainwrecks (over $100,000!), Fuslie, and TenZ, as well as regular St. Jude charity giver DrLupo.
The community was able to get involved too: all funds from subscribing or donating bits to shroud's stream over the past month were included in the total. Members were also able to donate directly to St. Jude, with over $500,000 coming straight from the community.
It wasn't the smoothest month for shroud and Fragathon. The L.A. wildfires throughout December and January forced shroud to halt the fundraiser due to power cuts and ensuring the safety of the crew.

Shroud to build esports org after million-dollar mark passed
The $100,000 ad revenue donation from shroud took the St. Jude charity total past the million mark, meaning a crucial stretch goal was reached.
"I said if we do a million, I would make an esports team — so that's gonna happen!" shroud said as he hit the button to send the total over the mark."I gotta start ringing people up! I gotta make some calls for this org, we gotta make it happen."
Shroud hasn't exactly shared any other details about the org or which games he'd begin with first — but judging by his comments during a Jan. 20 stream, Marvel Rivals may be his early focus.
He also revealed he'd "been in talks" with Sentinels CEO Rob Moore about an esports collaboration. We haven't heard much more about that since with shroud busy wrapping up Fragathon, but perhaps that may be shroud's avenue into esports org ownership?
We'll likely know more in the coming days. In the meantime, donations to Fragathon remain open: you can donate to the cause via the event's Tiltify page.
