Nimi and her Naplings raised a lot of money for cancer research, in honor of Baby Bean.
Virtual YouTuber Nimi Nightmare raised a lot of money for cancer research to honor her late cat via a recent charity stream. Not only did she and her fans help cancer research, but they also broke records while doing so.
Nimi Nightmare's charity stream for Baby Bean
Nimi Nightmare is an independent and unaffiliated VTuber. Unfortunately, she suffered the loss of her cat Bean to liver cancer earlier this month after several operations.
To celebrate Baby Bean's memory, I'll be doing my first ever charity stream to raise money for St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital! There will be games, guests, and lots of fun donation goals over the course of an 8 hour stream! I hope to see you there!
The loss was mourned not only by Nimi herself but also by her fans who supported her and her pet throughout their battles. There was an abundance of fan art depicting Nimi and Bean, and this support translated well throughout the charity stream, too.
The charity stream for the St, Jude Children's Research Hospital was eight hours long. Her initial goal of USD$ 100,000 was met not even 10 minutes into the stream.
Nimi also involved other VTubers in the stream. She collaborated with Maid Mint Fantôme and dooby3D and played games with them.

By the end of the stream, she had raised USD$ 355,262.03. She then thanked her fans, viewers, and donors for the incredible feat. Due to the amount of money that was donated, a lot of her milestones were reached. This ranged from reactions and remakes of her old videos, giving paintings to top donors, to revealing pictures of baby Bean!
