MrBeast challenges Blake to protect $500,000 from Tank Missiles, flaming cars, and 100 Crates of TNT. What could go wrong?

MrBeast is know for raising the bar on his videos and in his Protect $500,000 Keep it video, we witness contestant Blake challenged with protecting half a million dollars from tank fire, oh... and burning cars, a catapult and explosions.

Blake was given 24 hours and MrBeast's credit card to protect the money, any money that remained he could keep.

If you've followed MrBeast's YouTube content you might also recognise Blake as he appeared in a previous video. Blake finished runner-up in the World's Deadliest Laser Maze, taking home $10,000 for 2nd instead of the 1st place prize of $250,000. MrBeast kindly gave him a second chance at victory, all he had to do was protect half a million dollars from five tanks.

In total Blake had to survive three attacks in Protect $500,000 Keep it. After each challenge, Blake had an extra 24 hours to plan his defences.

  • Stage 1 Attack: 20 Missile shots from five Tanks
  • Stage 2 Attack: 100 Crates of TNT
  • Stage 3 Attack: Five Flaming Cars and Five Flaming Balls

Stage 1: $500,000 vs Tanks (20 Missiles)

In a bizarre - but rather ingenious - shopping spree, Blake dashes to a junkyard, splurging $30,000 on cars and metal. He then goes on a wild buying frenzy at industrial stores. His plan? A ludicrous fortress of cars and shipping containers to shield the cash. Despite his rather eccentric approach, Blake's confidence was high. Well, until he saw the size of the missiles the tanks would be firing.

Stage 2: 100 Crates of TNT explosives

The challenge escalates with the threat of a massive explosion in the form of 100 crates of TNT explosives. To prepare for the attack, Blake removes all flammable materials from the vicinity and reinforces his defenses with concrete, water tanks, and additional barriers. Despite his efforts, the explosive attack proves to be more destructive than anticipated.

Stage 3: Flaming Cars and Catapult Fire

The next phase involves dropping flaming cars filled with gasoline. Blake adapts his defense to deflect the cars and protect the money from the ensuing fire. He employs various strategies, including repositioning shipping containers and using a water truck to douse potential flames. It was a wise strategy but as usual MrBeast had a twist ready to throw off his plan.

The twist was that while flaming cars would fall from the sky, MrBeast was going introduce a catapult firing flaming balls from the sides. With now less than 90 minutes left, Blake quickly scrambled to use what little materials he had left to protect his $500,000 from the Catapult.

Was Blake successful? We can't tell you - spoilers c'mon - but what we can tell you is Blake is coming back for a third and final video to be released in February.
