In a statement to esports.gg, Midnight Society has stated that Dr Disrespect still has no relationship with the studio.

By now, we all know the story of Guy "Dr Disrespect" Beahm. The internet personality was banned from Twitch, moved to YouTube, and allegations of misconduct with a minor came out. He then tweeted, and deleted, a statement confirming as such, causing gaming studio Midnight Society to cut all ties.

Well, the Doc is back in action on YouTube after a short "vacation." He began his return stream with a round of Wordle, then quickly spoke on the situation that forced his absence. In that, he mentioned how the situation caused layoffs at Midnight Society.

As well, his return stream's YouTube description still had all of Midnight Society's platforms listed. He linked to its X account, its Discord, the main website, and even the studio's Instagram. His distress over the layoffs and connection to the studio would make it seem like he's still involved.

Well, the Studio Head at Midnight Society has confirmed that he has no relationship with them or the DEADROP game whatsoever.

We reached out to Midnight Society for a comment. Esports.gg was able to get in touch with Robert "fourzerotwo" Bowling, the developer's Studio Head. We asked plainly regarding his ties to the company.

With his comments regarding the layoffs and affiliation still present in his YouTube description, does Guy "Dr Direspect" Beahm still have anything at all to do with Midnight Society or DEADROP?

"Guy Beahm has zero involvement in Midnight Society or the game DEADROP. He was terminated from his position after admitting to inappropriate messages with a minor."

- Robert Bowling, Studio Head, Midnight Society in a statement to esports.gg

He was quick to respond and dispel any potential rumors that would arise because of the comments by Beahm and the links to the studio in his YouTube stream's description.

That's really all there is to it. He has no relationship with the studio, starting when they initially posted on X that it was terminated. It still begs the question why he has those links in his description. Perhaps just to support the studio he was once a part of?
