Popular streamers Kai Cenat and IShowSpeed conquered hardcore Minecraft in under a week.

Kai Cenat and IShowSpeed's hardcore Minecraft challenge began on Aug. 17 and ended when they slayed the Ender Dragon on Aug. 22. This five-day ordeal resulted in lots of content and hilarious moments, both in and out of the game.

Kai and Speed vs the Ender Dragon

Kai Cenat was the one to deal the final blow to the Ender Dragon 105 hours and 43 minutes into the challenge. This boss fight took the duo about 10 minutes.

After slaying the dragon, it took a few more minutes before they jumped into the portal. When they did, the credits rolled, and the celebrations commenced.

Before they got to this point, though, they had to reset the world a total of 42 times. This means either one or both of them died and had to start over again in Hardcore mode.

Their causes of death varied greatly: some were due to Creepers, unwise digging, and a couple of lost fights against the Ender Dragon. There was one instance where Speed missed the MLG water bucket when jumping off of the obsidian pillars mid-Ender Dragon fight, prompting a reset.

These funny clips of them playing the game quickly brought even more eyes to the challenge. But there were also lots of shenanigans that weren't related to Minecraft. About 100 hours in, the two called xQc for some advice.

This clip of Speed and Kai showering together a few days into the hardcore Minecraft challenge, in particular, was one of the many that blew up.

This hardcore Minecraft challenge followed the success of the prior challenge that Kai Cenat and IShowSpeed took on. The two played Chained Together a few weeks back while... chained together.

However, their Chained Together challenge took way less time. They reached the top of the frustrating game in under 13 hours.
