Spanish streamer broke his own record and reached 3,44 million people simultaneously watching his event, La Velada del Año 3
Spanish streamer and Twitch sensation Ibai Llanos set a new viewership record for Twitch on July 1. During the streamer's boxing event, La Velada del Año 3, his channel reached the expressive amount of 3,44 million people simultaneously watching the transmission. The numbers were collected by Streams Charts
The record was broken in the first fight of the event, disputed between creators Andrés "Ampeter" López and Abraham Mateo. The match held a total of 3.41 million people watching it. The final record was set during the last event's fight between Coscu and Germán Garmendia.
Ibai's achievement is even more significant if you consider that he broke his own record. The Spanish streamer also established the previous number of 3.35 million people. This number was set during the second edition of La Velada del Año.
The new record reinforces Ibai as perhaps the biggest streamer in the world. In 2023's Q1, according to Stream Charts, he was the most-watched Spanish-speaking creator in the world.
What is La Velada del Año?
Created by Ibai, La Velada del Año is a boxing event that features Spanish-speaking creators. It's taken place annually since 2021, and in its second edition, as previously mentioned, La Velada helped Ibai break the record of Twitch for peak viewers.
Besides events, Ibai also streams games, such as League of Legends and Rust. Still, his big numbers come from Special Events and Just Chatting categories on Twitch.
