FaZe Clan drama explained: Temperrr vs. Rain allegations

FaZe Clan co-founder Temperrr has denied misconduct allegations after former member Rain claimed the org once harbored a pedophile, fueling public fallout.

FaZe Clan co-founder Thomas “Temperrr” Oliveira has denied allegations of sexual misconduct raised by former member Nordan “Rain” Shat, after Rain claimed the organization once harbored a pedophile.

The catalyst for the incident was comments made by Rain on stream that a key reason he left FaZe Clan was that there was a pedophile within the organization. Rain said he wanted to put everything about him and FaZe "to rest".

All three figures involved in this drama - Temperrr, Banks, and Rain - are no longer officially associated with FaZe Clan.

Rain’s allegations on stream

"I wasn't even pushed, I left [FaZe Clan]. There was a f**king pedophile involved too. I don't give a f**k If I get sued, I'll stand out for what is right. That was the final straw," said Rain on stream on Sept 14.

"You guys air me out, you sold me out, you motherf**kers skinnied behind my back. I just had an epiphany about it because I was so sad about it for so long. I've been f**ked up by that pedo shit for 2 years, and I've not said nothing about it."

FaZe Banks responds

FaZe Banks soon came out to deny it was him, and share that Rain was referring to Temperrr. Rain confirmed it on his own stream. Rain and Banks then went on stream together to discuss the FaZe Temperrr allegations, triggering two responses from Temperrr himself.

FaZe Temperrr’s first statement on allegations

In his initial video on Sept. 14, Temperrr strongly denied the accusations, calling them disgusting. He also said he was disappointed in Rain, given how much he supported him during

Yet, his failure to directly answer whether the incident did or did not happen, led to a second video being posted just 3 hours later.

Second Clarification Video

Temperrr started his second video addressing the allegations by saying that it would be the last time he would comment on the situation. "My private life is being aired out for public entertainment, and I'm being forced into an impossible situation," said the FaZe Clan co-founder.

Temperrr explained that a past break up with Emma Smith - who he is now married to - caused him to spiral and go through a period of destructive behavior.

Temperrr admitted to a past sexual encounter with a 17-year-old in New York, where the age of consent is 17. He said he was unaware of her age at the time.

"I was that lost soul again, going to parties, being a fool. One day I go to New York and I go to this club that's 21+ and I link up with a buddy there. He invites a couple of girls and I end up going back with these girls," said FaZe Temperrr.

"We're all sh*tfaced. I slept with one of them, and I found out after this girl was 17. That's the age of consent in New York, but regardless I was sick to my stomach. It was extremely uncomfortable knowing that and the situation."

Temperrr has all but removed himself from the internet world. However, these accusations will likely still follow him regardless.

"This allegation of me being called a pedophile is f**king insane. Anybody who knows me knows I am not a pedophile or anything close to that including Nordan (Rain) himself.

This is something that is going to follow me around forever, and it's just sick. People on the internet will take things and twist it into something that isn't and keep running with it, and now I just have to deal with the repercussions."

FaZe Rain's response to Temperrr

Rain watched Temperrr's video statement live on his Twitch stream, but said that when Temperrr told himself and Banks about the incident, he never mentioned that he knew the girl was underage.

"I don't believe he knew after, he would have said something," said Rain on his Twitch stream on Sept. 14. "He had two opportunities to tell me that, when he initially told me and the call [with Apex & Banks]. He didn't tell us.

"If he had kept pushing that point that he didn't know, I wouldn't do that [share publicly]. I feel he's saying it now because he knows it gets him out of it, I'm just being real. That's what it feels like it. He would have said it."

Neither FaZe Clan nor its leadership has released an official organizational statement regarding the allegations.
