Asmongold announced today he is officially stepping down from OTK and Starforge after making racist comments regarding Palestinians.

Another day, another content creator not thinking twice about spewing hatred out to their audience. Popular creator, Asmongold, has officially announced he is stepping down from OTK and Starforge after making racist comments on his stream regarding Palestinians.

Asmongold spews hatred towards Palestinians on stream

Just a few days ago, the creator went live on Twitch to promote hatred towards Palestinians amidst the ongoing conflict in the Middle East.

His exact words were that the people living in Gaze were an "inferior race," which ignited quite a bit of backlash and hurt on the internet.

Soon after, Asmongold went to Twitter to say: "Looking back on it, I was way too much of an a**hole about the Palestine thing. My bad. Of course, no one deserves to have their life destroyed, even if they do things or have views I find regressive. You guys deserve more than me saying stupid sh*t like that, I'll do better."

His apology was not received well by many, as it seemed very half-hearted.

Asmongold banned on Twitch

Twitch decided to listen to the internet (for once), banning the streamer from its platform. This ban, however, will only be for two weeks, and then Asmongold can return to the streaming world.

The creator, though, has made it known that things will be very different when he gets back.

"If you think my first stream back is going to be me playing Dustborn and promoting Sweet Baby, I think you'll be very disappointed," said Asmongold in a post on Reddit. "I'm not changing anything other than trying to be more positive and less mean-spirited."

People can change. There is no questioning that notion. But is the streamer's hateful words enough to warrant him receiving a longer ban on Twitch than two weeks?

Stepping down from OTK and Starforge

Asmongold then posted a video today announcing he will officially be stepping down from his leadership roles in OTK and Starforge.

"Everything about my life is basically f*cked," said Asmongold in his video addressing his comments. "I'm going to take a step back from all of that. I am going to step away from my leadership positions in OTK, Starforge and everything."

The creator then goes on to exclaim how he plans to change in the future.

"I want to do this so I can be a better version of myself for everyone. I want to apologize to all of you guys: my viewers. I think that I can be a lot better than what I am right now. I don't even think that I have been putting in half the effort that I should be in the way that I should be."

It will be interesting to see how the streamer's return in the future will be handled.
