It was promised, it was teased, and now it’s official! A new game mode, more character customization, and the collaboration we all wanted is coming to Stellar Blade.
It's official, and it's happening sooner than expected! A massive Stellar Blade update featuring a NieR: Automata collaboration will be released on November 20. Shift Up, the developers behind the game, shared more details on the changes they are making to the game.
The first thing you should know is that the update will be coming for everyone who owns the game, but the collaboration will be part of a separate DLC. This will include 2B, NieR: Automata's main character, and some items from the game as part of the cross-over.
Shift Up vaguely mentioned this in their official Sony PS5 blog post, discussing the Stellar Blade November Update and the DLC as separate items. However, the announcement did not include the price.
This DLC and patch updates were prepared by our dev team with one heart and one mind, and we are absolutely delighted to share this with you.
New costumes included with Nov. 20 Stellar Blade Update
As previously mentioned, the NieR: Automata DLC will include a fully playable 2B costume for Eve. But the next update includes four other new costumes for players to unlock. These will be available for all the players who already own the game and download the Nov. 20 update.
Interestingly, from this update we discovered Shift Up used a different model to 3D body scan to create at least one of the outfits. South Korean model Yoon Seolhwa shared on social media her body was used to create the Four Seconds Everyday Wear model for EVE. This is the first time we've heard of anyone other than Shin Jae-eun model for EVE.

Stellar Blade Photo Mode and game improvements
The Stellar Blade community asked for a Photo mode after knowing how many breath-taking landscapes the game had. However, they didn't expect the Nov. 20 update included a whole studio to craft your own photos.
In Stellar Blade Photo mode, you will be able to adjust multiple features:
- EVE's pose, expression, and direction of her eyes.
- Filters (cold, warm, etc.) for EVE, and for the background.
- Blur, contrast, hue, color, angle, and more!
In-game, players will have to join the Photography club to acquire a camera in the shape of a smartphone. This quest will reward two Vitcoins, and will allow players to store photos in their Data Bank. More details about the quest will be revealed with the Stellar Blade November Update.
Other things you'll find with the Nov. 20 update include:
- A new accessory called "Symbol of Legacy" that changes the appearance and presentation of EVE during Tachy mode.
- Lip-sync support for French, Spanish, Italian, German, Portuguese, and Latin American Spanish.
- The ability to pick your favorite song from the turntable when you're in a camp.
- Also, players will be able to select "No Ponytail" in the Ponytail Lenght settings.
This is all we know, but the Stellar Blade November Update could include more cool features not announced. Stay tuned to esports.gg for more Stellar Blade content!
