The RLCS World Championship is happening this August. Here are all of the teams invited to the Wildcard and the main event.
With the Rocket League Championship Series (RLCS) 2022-23 season coming to an end, the list of invites for the World Championship is starting to write itself. The RLCS World Championship will be live in August with 24 Rocket League teams competing for the World Champion title.
The event will take place in Düsseldorf, Germany. The winner of the World Championship will get to bring home their share of the $2,100,000 USD prize pool.
The World Championship is divided into two parts: the Wildcard and the main event. Here's what we know about the invitation system and who is going to be attending the RLCS World Championship.
Teams invited to the Group Stage of the RLCS World Championship
There will be 16 teams participating in the Group Stage of the RLCS World Championship. Eight teams will receive auto-qualification for the Group Stage in the main event and the other eight teams will be from the Wildcard event.
Two slots have been reserved for the number-one team in Europe and North America. The other six teams will be invited according to the Worlds Region Spots Ranking.
As of the latest, all eight teams heading into the Group Stage of the RLCS World Championship has been confirmed.

Worlds Region Spots Ranking
The World Region Spots Ranking is still not finalized for the 2022-23 season. It's a ranking system that ranks the RLCS regions according to the points won by their respective regions' teams from previous RLCS Majors.
This means the regional invite quotas are flexible. The better their achievements in the Majors, the more the number of spots their region will have at the main event.
At the end of the 2022-23 season, we will witness two North American teams, four European teams, one South American team and one Middle Eastern team in the group stage of the RLCS World Championship

Teams invited to the RLCS World Championship Wildcard event
There will be 16 teams in the Wildcard event competing for a chance to proceed to the main event. The regional invite quota is fixed for the RLCS regions and it's as follows:
- North America: Three seeds
- Europe: Three seeds
- Middle East & North Africa: Two seeds
- Oceania: Two seeds
- South America: Two seeds
- Sub-Saharan Africa: Two seeds
- Asia-Pacific: Two seeds
