Rocket League Sideswipe launches globally on Android and iOS devices

Football with cars on mobile! Rocket League sideswipe aims to bring the excitement and the thrill to your hands. Here’s everything we know so far.

Rocket League’s mobile game, Sideswipe, is now live on Android and iOS, Psyonix announced earlier today. The game is still in pre-season but is available on all mobile devices globally.

Rocket League Sideswipe is the mobile version of the ‘Football with cars’ game. While the base concept of the game remains the same, it's played out on mobile.  The game features 1v1 and 2v2 matches. The game will also feature in-game customization similar to the PC version. With an online ranking system players can compete against others on mobile.

Rocket League Sideswipe is built specifically for the mobile platform. It aims to bring the popular soccer game to a wider audience with the mobile version. It features intuitive touch controls but is equally good with a controller says Psyonix. Sideswipe has a 2D side-on view as opposed to the 3D view in the PC game (hence the name).

Unique playlist ft. Anamanaguchi, MYLK and more

Rocket League Sideswipe will feature a playlist of fast-paced and energetic soundtracks. Psyonix has partnered with Monstercat for this playlist that will add more excitement to Sideswipe games.

How to Download Rocket League Sideswipe?

Sideswipe is available on both Android and iOS globally. You can head into the mobile app stores to download the game.

During the Pre-Season, make sure to log in using your Epic Games Account in order to play Online Matches, as well as earn extra XP across Rocket League and Sideswipe just by playing! Every time you level up in Sideswipe, you'll earn a "Bonus Win" in Rocket League. Then, once you win an Online Match in Rocket League, you'll get extra XP for that Bonus Win. Bonus Wins can also be earned for Sideswipe by playing Rocket League, so enjoy the extra XP in both games!
