Without a special theme but with some pretty cool items in Rocket Pass — the new season restarts the grinding!

Having a new Rocket Pass season is always exciting! We get extra reasons to hit Rocket League fields. Matches to unlock awesome-looking cosmetics are also an additional practice to improve playing skills.

The Season 22 trailer has created wonderful hype in the Rocket League community. Having three car bodies and unique collaboration items in the Rocket Pass tiers feels like decent rewards for seasonal progression. At the same time, some players complain about the lack of meaningful practical fixes.

Three car bodies in Rocket Pass Season 22, including the BMW M2 Racing

BMW cars are decently popular among Rocket League players; the BMW M2 Racing body is one of the main rewards in Season 22. You can unlock it in Premium tiers.

We named two BMW cars as one of the best additions to Rocket League in 2025. The M2 Racing is an instant contender in 2026!

What hitbox do the BMW M2 Racing, Zefira, and Maven from Rocket League Season 22 use?

It was officially confirmed that all the cars from Rocket Pass Season 22, including BMW M2 Racing, have a Dominus hitbox.

Just recently, another car received the same hitbox, the Mercedes-Benz CLA. It was added to the Rocket League shop with Solo Leveling decals.

Jordan Brand items in Rocket League

Season 22 introduces a collaboration of Rocket League and the Jordan Brand. The new items are part of the Rocket Pass tiers, which is great: no need to pay additionally for a bundle.

Weekly cash prize tournaments during Rocket League Season 22

This aspect of Season 22 should ignite the fire of competition in Rocket League. The game hosts weekly tournaments with cash prizes.

The official blogpost also revealed that wins bring Tournament Credits to exchange for specially designed items.

The image shows some of the possible items Rocket League players can purchase for special Tournament Credits. This currency is a reward from weekly competitive events in the game’s Season 22.

In the esports department, Rocket League starts an unusual Bracket Rivalry series. Duos of popular content creators battle here for a chance to have a match at the Paris Major on May 24.

  • From March 20 to March 26, claim a free player title related to the team you support.
  • Score goals with the title equipped.
  • More goals help the team advance and play in Paris.

Quality-of-life improvements

While the cosmetic rewards and the competitive series are well received in the community, players remain largely dissatisfied. The reason is the lack of meaningful quality-of-life improvements.

In the trailer, you can notice the following gameplay-related announcements.

  • Flip Reset indicator: to see if you have successfully touched the ball with all four wheels and gained a dodge.
  • Boost respawn timer appears on empty boost pads.
  • MMR display: Your Matchmaking Rating is visible.
  • Possibility to switch to the standard boost sounds.

Season 22 starts in Rocket League on March 11 and continues until June 10. If you are a Fortnite Crew subscriber, you can get cross-game items on March 19.

Closer to the end, we can enjoy the RLCS 2026 Paris Major, which culminates in its grand final on May 24.
