The Rocket League Champs is fast approaching, but for the more casual fans, they are more interested in when the next season turns up in their game. Rocket League Season 18 will come out on March 14 and here’s all you need to know about the new season.
When does Rocket League Season 18 start?
Rocket League Season 18 will start on March 14 at 9 am PT, Psyonix has revealed. The new season will bring with it a brand new arena, new banners, the ‘Breathe’ player anthem and mutators.
For Rocket League fans, it’s more than just cosmetics that bring the excitement and fun with Season 18. The new mutators will allow the community to curate their own exciting experiences within Rocket League.
Ping - Oops you missed!

Have you ever been in the situation where your teammates have already started celebrating a goal, only for the ball to hit the crossbar or the goalposts. The disappointment that follows is not just demotivating but also embarrassing. To avoid such situations, Rocket League has introduced a new Ping sound byte that will echo throughout the arena whenever the ball hits the crossbar or the goalposts. Hopefully, that is enough of a hint that your ‘splendid’ goal didn’t actually go in.

Voice Reporting in Rocket League
Voice Reporting comes to Rocket League in the newest update. A feature that is prevalent in Fortnite, Voice reporting allows you to take action against other players in the game for abusive voice communications. This includes not just blocking, muting and reporting others, but you can also submit audio evidence for suspected violations of the Rocket League community guidelines.
When you submit audio evidence, the game submits the previous 5 minutes of audio evidence to the reviewers. So make sure to report as soon as possible (within five minutes) to have a better success in your reporting. Epic has no way of accessing any voice chat audio unless voice reporting is on and a participant submits a voice report.
How to report inappropriate conduct in Voice Chat in Rocket League?
- Open the Sidebar and navigate to the Voice Chat tab.
- Click the “Report Conversation” button.
- Once the report screen loads, press “Submit Report” to finalize.
- Close the screen and return to your game.
In addition to all the new features, Rocket League Season 18 will also feature tournament rewards. Tournament rewards are based on the final rankings at the end of the season. With Season 18 still a few days away at the time of writing this article, Rocket League fans have some time to rank up and aim for better tournament rewards.
