RLCS 2024

After several changes to Rocket League esports, RLCS 2024 has already had its winners in the first regional competitions. The winners of each region in the first open qualifier were:

  • North America - G2 Stride
  • South America - Complexity
  • Middle East & North Africa - Team Falcons
  • Asia-Pacific - Elevate
  • Sub-Saharan Africa - Limitless
  • Oceania - PWR

Meanwhile, the swiss phase will be held in Europe on Feb. 9.

First 2024 update

The arrival of the esports store with decals will not be the only update. Epic Games will also increase the minimum level for competitive mode from level 10 to level 20. Each player in a party will need to be level 20 or higher to queue for competitive matchmaking. This update will aim to reduce smurfs following player feedback about bad experiences in casual matches.

Epic Games stated that it's still working to "minimize behaviors that can lead to unfair matches."
