The devs also revealed they are working to combat smurfing in the game in the new year.

There are new changes coming to the Rocket League menu. In the latest update, Psyonix announced further changes coming to the Rocket League menu. Here’s all that’s new to the Rocket League menu starting next season.

Streamlined Play Menu

The Play Menu will have a brand new look with the next update. With a new squared-off design, the Play Menu looks significantly easier on the eyes. It will be a big help to old as well as new players with the bigger menu items and fascinating designs.

Competitive Card

The competitive card will include Competitive Playlists and Extra Modes Playlists. In total, there are six different competitive Playlists within the card.

One of the long-standing community requests was the ability to queue for different playlists at the same time. And now, within the competitive card, players can queue for 3v3 Standard and 2v2 Hoops at the same time.

Changes to Casual Card

There are more changes to the casual menu as well. There are two new Arcade Playlists. The new Arcade Playlists will rotate through the card menu in rotation. So Rocket League players can expect Dropshot to pop up next season.

There are also a few quality of life changes coming in the next update.

  • You can join an existing Private Match directly from Training or an Offline Match.
  • Load and launch a different Workshop map when in a Workshop map already.
  • When in a party, you can now see your Rank even when you are not the Party Leader.

The developers say they intend to allow players more control over which cards appear in the Arcade Playlist early next year. They are also working on further changes to come to Rocket League to deal with smurfing and initiate skill placement improvements.
