RLCS World Championship Main Event will welcome three MENA teams

MENA region has continuously impressed the RLCS scene with its constant improvement and dedication. Rule One previously emerged as MENA's number one team, securing themselves in the Main Event.

This left Team Falcons and Twisted Minds in the Wildcard event. The two teams convincingly won their first two matches in the Swiss Round Stage. They then faced each other in the third round, where Team Falcons won the match with a reverse sweep. The team then secures their place in the RLCS World Championship Main Event.

Twisted Minds, on the other hand, had to fight their way back to the top, having to go against KRÜ Esports in Round 4. They were demolished with a clean sweep and had to go to an elimination match against PWR.

Twisted Minds proved themselves to be the better team as they snatched one of the last invites to the Main Event. With this, three MENA teams will be competing in the Main Event to fight for the World Champion title.

Elevate break new records for APAC region

Elevate went into the RLCS World Championship with a fiery spirit to prove what an APAC team can achieve on the international scene. They had been a total beast in their region but had always been among the teams to be knocked out early in a major tournament.

They started their Worlds run with an unfortunate loss against Team Falcons. Moving into Round 2, they had to face G1 from the European region. Everyone was almost certain that this will be another loss for Elevate, but when they keep on winning the matches, everyone was cheering for the APAC team.

They won the series with a 4:2 score, making it the first time an APAC team win against a non-SSA team.

Moving with the momentum, they fight the hardest against Moist Esports but fell hard, putting themselves in an elimination match against Pioneers. In another record-breaking series, they knocked Pioneers out of the RLCS World Championship and landed them the last chance to qualify for the Main Event.

In their last match, they had to go against Team Secret. Unfortunately, they fell against the South American team and their World Championship journey ended just one game short of the Main Event.

Oceanian teams knocked out early of the competition

The Oceanian region had a tough time throughout the whole RLCS 2022-23 season.

Pioneers had a hard time on the first day when they lost against Twisted Minds, the team they had personally drafted for in the Wildcard Draft. They then managed to win against Limitless in the second round. The OCE team lost against Spacestation Gaming, which forced them to fight in an elimination match against Elevate. Elevate, in another record-breaking moment, scored the clutch goals needed and eliminate Pioneers from the competition.

Meanwhile, PWR managed to survive until the last round of the Swiss Round Stage. They were defeated by Oxygen Esports and KRÜ Esports but managed to gain wins from both SSA teams. Unfortunately, they had to go against Twisted Minds in the last round, who totally dominated the match and eliminates PWR from the tournament.
