Sixteen teams are going to compete for the champion title. We are seeing the return of the last Majors champions, G2 Esports and Team BDS, in a run to secure their second Major title. We are also seeing new faces in the major scene, namely Team Liquid and Gaimin Gladiators.

Most of the teams have already secured their spot in the World Championship. Teams that are still hanging by a thread are Pioneers, Karmine Corp, Team Liquid, Team Envy, Spacestation Gaming, and Version1. This Major is their last chance in making it to the World.
