It’s Brazil versus the world at Six Invitational 2024.

The first day of the Six Invitational is now over and there were not many surprises. However, the one result that might surprise Rainbow Six Siege fans is G2’s victory over NiP. Despite this loss, Brazilian teams still dominated the day’s results with some stellar performances by FaZe and w7m esports. Here’s all you need to know about Day 1 of the Six Invitational 2024.

G2 defeat NiP on Day 1 of Six Invitational

After vetoing Bank and Border in their first game, G2 had a very dominant defense on Club House. Blazing past NiP to a 6-1 first half, it was a map point throughout the second half for G2 esports. They won Club House with a 7-2 score setting the pace for the rest of the series.

The second map of the series was Skyscraper, and while NiP did put up a decent fight on this map, the result was not much of a difference. A relatively even 4-3 half in favor of G2 esports meant that NiP had a very good opportunity to tie the series. Unfortunately, their attack, once more, failed them when they needed it the most. A valiant effort by Muzi who had the second-highest frags in the server at the end of the series (20 frags) was not enough. G2’s performance was optimized by a more well-rounded and even distribution of positioning and frags all across. Alem40 had the highest frags on the server at 21.

W7m esports, FaZe Clan rack up victories in their opening games.

While NiP lost their opening series in a rather meek fashion, the other teams from Brazil had a very good showing. The World Champions in W7m esports, had a close series against M80. The exciting series saw W7m esports emerge victorious with a 2-0 lead. The other match of the group saw Team Liquid take a 2-1 victory over Virtus.Pro. The loss on Oregon was a rather impressive performance by Virtus.pro, but unfortunately, the team did not have a similar showing on Border.

LOS had the only flawless win of the day against Team Falcons after a 7-0 victory on Border. Team Falcons are playing one of the biggest events in Rainbow Six Siege with a stand-in, so one could probably excuse them the result. It will be interesting to see how they fare on Day when they face off against Fury on Day 2 and later Soniqs on Day 3.

Rainbow Six Siege fans can catch all the action live on Twitch as we head into Day 2, when a few teams might cement their position in the playoffs.
