Receiving one more Operator in the playable roster is a great update on its own. Still, Operation High Stakes brings even more excitement to Rainbow Six Siege X!
This season continues the Dual Front missions, adds new modernized maps, and rebalances some weapons and Operators. On top of this, Operation High Stakes Siege invites all players to the regular open tournaments of the Siege Cup.
Everything about Year 10 Season 3 of R6 Siege X is here.
When does the new R6 Siege X season come out?
The release date of the new season in Rainbow Six Siege X is Sept. 2. Starting from this day, Operation High Stakes is available for everyone on the official servers.
Denari in Rainbow Six Siege X: Defender to create laser webs
This new Operator has caused some discussions in the community. Players consider Denari a huge factor in the game meta that can change Siege drastically.
The guy has a Unique Ability: T.R.I.P. Connector. Denari places special devices, which connect to each other with laser rays. If you place a few devices with visual contact between each other, they create a laser web.
- Lasers slow down and damage opponents.
- Denari can block entrances to the buildings and separate rooms.
- With T.R.I.P. Connector, it’s easy to make relatively safe ambushes to attack those who fall into this trap.
As an R6 Siege X Operator, Denari comes with the following weapons and gadgets.
Denari’s gadgets can interrupt rush attack actions, but they are not an ultimate protection at all. You can just shoot the laser devices and use a variety of gadgets to destroy them or temporarily break their functionality.
Glaive-12: The first slug shotgun in Rainbow Six Siege
In this new season, Siege gets a new weapon. The Glaive-12 is extremely damaging at short distances. It requires high accuracy, though.
Denari can use the Glaive-12 to destroy obstacles between his T.R.I.P. Connectors. There are four shots in the magazine.

Dual Front in Siege X. Hunt for data in the safe room
This new game mode was introduced to Rainbow Six Siege in Season 2 of Year 10 — alongside the release of the new game version, R6 Siege X. Dual Front matches happen on a special map, and 6-player teams can combine Operator abilities of defenders and attackers.
During Operation High Stakes, we received a new mission in Dual Front.
- Take control of the Keres safe room.
- Download critical information from the computer in that room.
- Figure out how to accomplish your missions with indestructible walls that block the room after the computer activation.
When the room is blocked, the team inside should defend it, and the team outside should play attackers. With the mixed sets of Operators, multiple creative approaches are possible in this season of Siege Dual Front.
The whole concept of this new mission is shown in the anime short for Denari: take a look at the video below.

Rebalance for Operators and weapons in the Siege X new season
Quite a few tweaks happen in the balance department to launch the new season in Siege. You can take a look at the detailed Y10S3 Designer’s Notes here.
Let’s highlight the biggest and most impactful balance changes.
- Blackbeard got some nerfs to his offensive mechanics. The developers want to make this Operator more versatile. The guy is slower now, his MK-17 has 20 bullets instead of 25, he is exposed during reloads, and the ADS mechanics are less effective.
- Ballistic Shields receive a new animation of throwing gadgets from behind. This action has a longer exposure period, and quick opponents can react better.
- Operators that are not wielding a DMR or a slug shotgun have no magnified scopes now. Doc, Castle, Echo, Frost, Tachanka, and Rook lose this device.
- The Reaper MK2 gets significant improvements for its recoil. Oryx, Ying, Pulse, and Sledge receive the Reaper MK2 as their new weapon.
- Striker has the SR-25 as a primary weapon now. Sentry receives the TCSG12.
