Bulletproof barriers across doorways, a brand new weapon and the one-woman renovation squad, Rauora has it all.
Ubisoft has announced Rauora as Rainbow Six Siege's newest operator on the final day of the Six Invitational 2025. She joins the attackers and will use her D.O.M. launcher to deploy bulletproof gates in doorways. The game developer has also revealed information about how and when to unlock Rauora in the game.
Rauora - Rainbow Six Siege's new operator
Rauora brings a marksman rifle or the M249 light machine gun as her primary weapon. She has a new weapon as her secondary, introducing the Reapoer MK2 machine pistol. It has a red dot sight and extended magazine, which means Rauora can be more accurate and more deadly in close-quarters combat.
In addition to the two weapons, Rauora has smoke grenades or breach charges that complete her kit. The most important part of her kit, however, is the D.O.M. launcher. The Deployable Omnilink Mesh (D.O.M.) deploys bulletproof systems in gateways. As an attacker, this is crucial to block off certain pathways and control the direction of the fight.
Rauora needs to aim the D.O.M. at a targetable location (doorways). An on-screen icon will denote deployability, and once used, it shoots a projectile towards the door. The projectile attaches and deploys a bulletproof panel that reaches all the way to the ground. Initially, it might seem that even smaller gadgets such as drones will be unable to pass through the barrier. But, Rauora’s D.O.M. barrier has a unique mechanism wherein it lifts slightly to allow drones to pass through before closing fully once more.

Barrier control
The bulletproof barriers allow drones to pass through, but what about Rauora herself and her teammates? The barriers have a rectangular trigger at the top. This trigger will become visible when operators approach the barrier. Players need to shoot the trigger to unlock the bulletproof barrier. They can close it again, by interacting with the barrier once more.

As an attacker barrier, there are some small advantages for Rauora and her teammates. When the barrier is deployed for the first time, for a short period, only attackers can unlock it. Defenders will not be able to unlock the barrier as the trigger will not be visible to them. The door operators are significantly faster when triggered by an Attacker. This gives Rauora and her teammates a small timely advantage over their opponents.
Barriers are not explosion-proof. They can withstand bullets, but explosions will blow open the doorways. They are also not Oryx-proof, which means they won’t work properly under the influence of Tubarao’s Zoto Canister or Jager’s ADS if timed properly.
More information about the new season, Rauora as well as the new season will be unveiled next month. Siege X is the next evolution of the game and promises to bring new ways to play, expanded strategic maneuvers, and audio and video upgrades.
