Rainbow Six Siege Reload brings the top R6 teams back to Rio de Jainero

Rainbow Six Siege is heading to a new location in the next few months, Ubisoft announced on the penultimate day of the Six Invitational 2025. Ubisoft had previously announced the 2025 season will see one Major instead of two as was the case in the previous year. Here’s what we know about the Rainbow Six Siege Major for 2025.

Rainbow Six Siege Reload - Rio De Janeiro

Rainbow Six Siege Reload is the name of the one and only Major that will take place in 2025. Ubisoft unveiled the location but has refrained from divulging more details such as the format of the tournament.

Ubisoft also announced that ticket sales will go live sooner than expected. The tickets for Rainbow Six Siege Reload will start becoming available starting Feb. 19, 2025, just a few days after the Six Invitational 2025. The event dates are from May 16 to May 18, 2025.

The Six Invitational 2025 ends on Feb. 16, with the Grand Finals being a competition for a share of the $3 million prize pool. The winner of the international event takes home 33% of the prize money, amounting to a million dollars. Reload will be Rainbow Six Siege’s first international event since Six Invitational 2024.

The Six Invitational 2024 was infamous for the energetic crowd as well as some of the most hype matches in Rainbow Six Siege esports. The tournament saw w7m Esports emerge as the winner after a 3-2 victory over FaZe Clan. Unfortunately for the defending champions, they are already eliminated from this year’s Six Invitational 2025

The Major will take place in Arena Carioca 1. It is an indoor stadium in Barra da Tijuca in the west zone of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. With a total construction size of 38,000 square meters, this massive arena’s initial capacity was 16,000 for the Summer Olympics. The government later lowered it to 6,000 post the Olympics.
