What is the tournament format?
The Esports World Cup 2024 features a Group stage and the Playoffs. The group stage has a double-elimination format with two groups of eight teams each. The upper bracket games are best of ones while the lower bracket games are best of the three series. While the group stage starts off with sixteen teams, only eight will qualify for the playoffs. This means the top four teams from each group advance to the Playoffs.
The Playoffs are an eight-team single-elimination format. All matches are best-of-three series with the only exception being the Grand Finals. The Esports World Cup Rainbow Six Siege Grand Final is a best-of-five series. The winner receives the majority of the prize pool amounting to $750,000.
