Rainbow Six Siege breaks record with 200,000 concurrent players

Rainbow Six Siege has broken another record. The game is free till March 25 on PC and console.

The Crimson heist update brought an influx of new players to Rainbow Six Siege. The game set a new record as it crossed 200,000 concurrent players on Steam and continues to see strong growth in terms of player numbers.

Rainbow Six Siege reached an all-time peak number of 201,053 players on Steam. The game is running a free week through March 25. Coupled with new content due to the Crimson Heist, the free week is drawing players back to the game.

Rainbow Six Siege crosses 200,000 players

Siege has seen consistent growth over the past few months. Recently Ubisoft released the Crimson Heist update. The update adds a new operator, map rewords, match replay systems and a new battle pass. 

Rainbow Six Siege has maintained a player-base of at least 55,000 since December 2017. Recently, the game has seen consistent additions with March being one of its biggest months. The tactical FPS game had its highest average player count of 119,877 in the month of March.

Besides the Crimson Heist update, Ubisoft has also made the game free-to-play through March 25. There has been an influx of new players who want to try out the game before buying it. Interested players can simply download the game on PC or consoles and figure out their favorite operators for free. The game is also on a discount on all stores till March 25. This is an excellent opportunity for players to pick up R6.
